(optional) Tools to debug using serial port
A typical way to debug is by printing vales to serial port. You can use cutecom to receive and send data to the firmware. Follow the next instructions to install the tools.

You can use cutecom to receive and send data over UART, to/from the firmware.
cutecom is available on Linux Ubuntu repositories so you just need to select it and hit install button:

This software plots in real time the data sent by serial port - it is a really important tool for debug.
